…and so it begins.
Hey guys,
Quickly, my name is Jon Yeager. I’m a rock and roller at heart. Having released a few albums, toured and the whole thing I’m starting to see in my early 30′s my creative brain taking on other forms. I got into cocktailing as an art through my current place of employment The Holland House Bar and Refuge in Nashville, TN. Through this I’ve seen some open doors to be pushed through, thus, PourTaste. Initially a concept for a T.V show, its spread to a book counterpart and eventual smart phone app. My vision is simple. There’s tons of places one can drink. There’s tons of recipe lists out there for cocktails, online, through apps and so on. What I’m wanting to do is really help you not only know what’s out there to experiment with in the glass but where in the world you can get the ingredient driven, maybe prohibition-era cocktails that are coming back to normality in a big way. To make my day even longer, what I’m wanting is the most concise and up-to-date list on the best places in America to drink. There’s a certain “grade” of drink I’ll be sticking to of coarse but what real life experiences have brought my fiance, Lindsay and I is a need to have a trusted source to go to. While out of town on a few different trips, we’re standing there thinking, “man, surely we can get a good manhattan somewhere, maybe something more exotic like a Ramos gin fizz…maybe…” but no one wants to be married to their iphone in researching “best bars” or some generic research topic. This is a slow build but trust me, I’ll let you know where to go AND wether you’re a bar owner, bartender or just enjoy the adventure and art of “drink” let us know where YOU like to go! whats hot in your town or village? Contact us….Lindsay and I love learning about the new and great places!
I have pour taste, do you tust me?
